I hope you have been enjoying this beautiful SPRING weather. It truly is amazing!
Today, I want to talk about some Super Simple Changes you can make for Overall Health.
Take a moment to think about someone super healthy. What makes them seem super healthy to you? Do they have a healthy flush to their skin? Toned body? and happy demeanor?
The truth is that your skin mirrors what’s happening on the inside, so by keeping yourself healthy you keep your skin, body and mind healthy too!
SO, here are my Super Simple Changes to keep your self looking healthy and young!
- SLEEP! Yeah, I know, its getting old, but this is really spot-on! If you aren’t getting enough sleep, not only is your body tired, but also your skin will soon match! Turn off the electronics a few hours before your IST (intended sleep time) and get yourself a nice relaxing bedtime routine so you can sleep better! I love to drink Sleepytime Herbal tea before bed, spritz my pillow cases with some Lavender Essential Oil and snuggle up with a good book.
- Drink Water and LOTS OF IT!!! I don’t know who thought of this whole 6-8 glasses a day thing, but I think it’s a pretty low amount. I usually recommend 8-12 glasses a day or especially for those that enjoy their daily coffee. Water is so important for flushing out toxins, keeping you hydrated and also keeping cravings in check!
- Eat Healthy Fats! I grew up in the fat-free craze and it took me a lot of education to finally trust that good fats are super important for your health. Healthy Fats are just that- HEALTHY! Eat your avocados, eggs, nuts, & seeds- even a little dark chocolate will do you good! But make sure you eat a bit every day! These fats are important for your digestion, metabolism, skin, hair and nails.
Fats are important for your body, so don’t deprive yourself of them.
