Good Afternoon and Happy Monday!
I hope you are doing well on this lovely afternoon.
One of the main things I work on with clients is creating their own HEALTHY FOOD BLUEPRINT that is unique to their body and it’s needs. Everyone is different and there really is not a one-size-fits-all diet that works for everyone. I teach my clients to listen to their bodies and figure out what works for them. It really is fun and one of the first things we do is The BREAKFAST EXPERIMENT and I want to share it with you too!
The Breakfast Experiment
As a way of tuning into your body and learning to listen to its messages, I encourage you to explore eating a different breakfast every day for a week. Jot down what you eat and how you feel, both right after eating and again two hours later. Sit quietly after you eat and reflect. Note how your energy level, your moods and your physical symptoms are affected by the food in your body. This process can be super enlightening and help you figure out what the best way to start your day is. What gives you energy? What sustains you? Are you starving within an hour? Do you feel energized or sluggish? Keep these questions in mind as you embark on this experiment.
Day 1: Eggs
Day 2: Scrambled tofu
Day 3: Oatmeal or any grain product
Day 4: Chia Pudding
Day 5: Smoothie
Day 6: Fresh fruit
Day 7: Fresh vegetables with Lean Protein

You may discover from this exercise that you need more protein in the morning? Or that a protein-packed smoothie keeps you full for hours? Or that oatmeal satisfies you? Or that you need more food on the days that you workout.
Give The Breakfast Experiment a try this week and see what you learn about your body and its unique needs!
Pop on and share your findings. I love this kind of detective work.

You may discover from this exercise that you are unusually sensitive to certain foods. A food sensitivity or allergy may be your body’s way of telling you to start eating foods more appropriate for your current life goals.
